IndieCity would like to add to their last call for terrible indie game press releases and ask for submissions of the worst videos as well, to be discussed at the Indies’ Got PR Talent panel at the GDCE Independent Games Summit in August 2011
13 JULY 2011, LEAMINGTON SPA, UK – the Indies’ Got PR Talent panel at the GDC Europe 2011 Independent Games Summit on Monday 15 August will be hosted by IndieCity’s Deejay and will feature RockPaperShotgun.com’s Jim Rossignol, Christian Nutt from Gamasutra.com and Michael Rose from IndieGames.com.
The panel will consider examples of indie marketing and with humour, experience and insight offer advice and guidance to indie developers on the pitfalls and opportunities of the world of PR. Having already called for examples of truly awful indie press releases, the panel would now like you to send them the very worst videos that have come your way – and don’t forget, journalists, this includes you! If you’ve ever created or been sent an indie game trailer that made you cringe, then please get in touch! Please also remember to include contact details so that the authors’ permission can be sought where appropriate.
Please send your contributions to GDCE@IndieCity.com: the deadline for this second tranche of horripilation-promoting examples is 22nd July 2011 and there will be one further call for content coming next week! Of course, if you have some awful press releases that you haven’t yet contributed, please do send them in…
